You will have to cut the stitching on the old webbing strap to get it off of the rings- can be done easily with a razor blade. Then, contact Lee Keppler if you want a beautiful, strong leather strap. I just received another one I had ordered from him today and am more than happy with it. From there, it involves a very simple fastening- all you will need is a screwdriver. Can't beat it.
