OK, so WHY does Indy have to fight a type of government??

I mean, in Temple of Doom, he wasnt fighting the nazis, so why do you fight over whether he attacks all the nazi's, or the communists?
why can't he just have a crazy fun adventure, like the good old days?
I mean, I love Indy to DEATH, but probably the part i would like the least if i had to pick one, would be the whole nazi bit. his goal wasn't to destroy the nazi's cause they were evil, it was to find his special artifact, cause that was his job! he was an archeaologist, not a secret agent!
