WAS WATCHING A LIVE AERIAL RESCUE TODAY ON TV...

Today all the major news stations in the NY area showed a live dramatic aerial rescue off a New York beach. Three fishermen were trapped on a rock jetty due to a quick rising high tide. When the NYPD helicopter showed up, the cops began lifting the fishermen into the helicopter using a long cable with a loop on the end.
Anyway, the first guy to be lifted was wearing an Indiana Jones-style fedora! It looked so cool to see this guy hanging from the bottom of a helicopter while wearing a fedora. I kept thinking to myself, "Holy smokes, what a time to wear a fedora!" All the fishermen were evetually rescued, but, sadly, the man lost his fedora in mid-air due to a gust of wind.
