I really didn't mind Marcus being turned into the comic relief character- I felt it suited him better than another serious member of the film. Maybe they were a little too extreme in making Marcus capable of being lost in his own museum, but I thought it was a nice, light-hearted change to the characters. Had they turned evil, then I would be pissed.

And I don't think they did the same with Sallah at all. He was kind of goofy in Raiders and he was never bumbling or overdone in LC.
