Does anyone know what the mistake was on Toht's burned hand?

There was a drastic mistake on the hand of Toht after he is burned by the Headpiece of Ra. It is plainfully obvious when he walks up to Belloq, Dietrich, and Gobler in the desert and gives the nazi salute and his 'Heil Hitler!'. I'm sure many of you out there know and I just want to see exactly how many people spotted this. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then I'm just giving you another excuse to watch Raiders again, aren't I? Lucky you! :)
