I regret ever saying ANYTHING about Aldens...

Hey, guys, enough with the emails. I live in LA these days, and am not making any buying trips to Seattle. I'll be up there for the holidays, and will of course make a trip to search for any hidden treasures, but don't send me any more emails asking to be added to a list. I have a few people I'll be looking for, but for heaven's sake, I'd need to buy a separate plane ticket if I were to even find half of the shoes you folks are asking for!

The message I would hope people would glean from this would be to look around EVERYWHERE for gear - especially shoes and MK-VII bags. These are the items you can find cheap in normal distribution channels.

For boots, comb the orthopedic shoe places. This is where I planned to get my boots before I stumbled across a bargain. There is a place in downtown Seattle (name escapes me) who’s' name was given to me by Alden’s' themselves! They had 405's for $145 when the shop in San Francisco was still selling them for $195. Be creative, but please don't ask anymore - I'll just end up ignoring your email, and possible blocking it from my inbox.
