: It definitely gets cold enough to wear a jacket in Arizona. Down into the mid-20's in Tucson and environs during the winter. There's even a ski resort up in the hills above Tucson. They make you put chains on your car up there on occaision and everything. I lived there from '94 to '98 and I saw it snow in Tucson. (Of course, the ground was still warm from the day, so as soon as the snowflakes hit the ground they turned to slush.)
