Kurosawa was an original auteur in his context. Georgie and Stevie produced little beyond pop pap derived from archetypes such as Kurosawa; but those are the ontological conditions we all labor under in America, no? The country that imagines itself the new frontier of civilization can gurgitate decadent, meaningless commercials and super-sweetened purile pablum. Even the cultural brakepads are gone now that a corrupted redneck has been installed in the White House; grab your ammo and canned goods and head for the hills before Ep 2 is released.
