Anyway, it seems Ahnenerbe was actually founded in '35, not in '37 as I had thought. The source I just checked also claims that there were actually 50 departments within this organization. There is a lot of contradictory informnation out there.
Here is how to recognize a member of the SS Ahnenerbe: They were wearing a silver bullion insignia on black backing (ARM DIAMOND FOR THE SS-AHNENERBE).
