I have very large hands, and I have had no problems at all using my pockets as hand warmers or anything else, nor do I have any stress or strain on the stitching as you have described. Dale, I need to recant my above "ranting". I pulled out my jacket and looked it over, and low and behold found the same thing starting to happen to my jacket, and I haven't worn it as much as you have to date. My sister in law did my repairs by retacking the four points of stress, tops and bottoms of both pockets. She said it wasn't a problem, but that leather was the toughest stuff she's ever tried to work on. The repair was perfect. I did send our friend Peter an email to give him a heads up regarding this re-occuring problem, as I have talked to several other Wested owners, and they have told me they have experienced the same problems, but most have performed the same "fix". Thanks for bringing this up. Regards. Michaelson
