Taliban Buddahs...

Does anyone know whether the Taliban managed to remove all traces of Buddhism from Afghanistan? I know they are of at most secondary concern, but I was saddened to see such artifacts blasted by grenade launchers on the news a while back. It would be a small consolation to know that they didn't finish the job because of other concerns...
