Not sure about the accounting for past actions part...but it does make you wonder if those daughter rumours are true.

-Natalie Portman was interested in playing Indy's daughter.

Personally, I'm hoping that Indy is still a loner in this one. If Spielberg had any interests in exploring Indy's paternal side, I'm sure he would've mentioned something about it over the years.
