: I seem to remember Lucasfilm requesting changes in Infernal Machine's storyline. It was rumoured that the game's story was getting too close to that of Indy 4's, but I don't remember if any official word ever confirmed this assumption.
In a PC Gamer interview with Hal Barwood, he said
"When I first started working on [Infernal Machine], there was another possible story I might have done. And I was warned not to go there, because it was something that they might eventually want to make as a film."
