Looks like Lucas may have started work this week after all.
Variety reports that "Indy 4" is gaining momentum, with Tom Stoppard being courted to write the screenplay and a plan to put the film into production in 2004.
It adds that a big obstacle for the film was getting Paramount to agree to a budget, and also that Lucas came up with a story that Ford and Spielberg really liked.
Stoppard has recently worked with Ford on rewrites of "K-19", but hasn't decided if he'll be available for Indy yet, as he may reteam with the "Shakespeare in Love" director on "Tulip Fever".
