Spielberg should definitely get his way on this issue- after all, HE is going to be the director and therefore should shoot it however he wants.

(Most audiences likely won't be able to view the film the way a digital film should be screened anyway.)

Spielberg clearly believes in the art of filmmaking- he talks of a special 'magic' of using film- and no technology can ever replace or improve that sort of intangible element.
