Jacket sizing

This is pretty darn unrelated, but I am ordering a jacket off ebay (a Wool Navy Pea Coat)... I am a size 40, the jacket is a size 38. Do you guys think this size problem will make a big difference in how the jacket it actually fits me? Is it worth it or should I find a 40? Thanks guys..
