The "Star Wars Bible"? I've heard of it....and....

While I've read relatively few of the Star Wars related novels, a friend of mine has read all but the newest three, and he's told me that, despite what we keep hearing about this supposed "Bible", and Lucas/Lucasfilms "strict" adherance to it, there have been far to many inconsistencies over the whole of the universe, and that Lucas himself, after 'writing' the newest films, blew the continuity himself. Hmmm...perhaps if we had someone who had dealt with them directly, we could get a better picture.

As for personal experience, one of the Star Wars compendiums, supposedly ok by Lucas himself, while running down C-3PO's stats, claimed " he is more than 400 years old, and has never had his memory wiped...well, not that he knows of".....Anakin and TPM, anyone? go figure :)

Funny how we're all so far from Indy right now......
