Reshaping a cotton fedora.... help please

I just bought a fedora from Hot Topic , and it came today… it’s a piece of crap; totally misshapen and awkwardly bent up.
I was just wondering how I could re-shape it into a fine craft-of-art for a big swing dance this weekend. Would I just iron it?
Any help would be most greatly appreciated.
