Hi!
I want to buy- or order- the movie noelitations 4 the Indy movies buut none of the stores carry them! I managed 2 orded The Last Crusaide from Borders (I got it 2day, infact) but it when I tried 2 order Raider's of the Lost Ark and the Temple of Doom (my fave of the three) the people said it was out of print- in other words I've lost my chance of EVER owning TOD or ROTLA!!! Not fair, I wasn't born when it came out! I want the novelizations 4 TOD and ROTLA and screenplays for all 3. Doese NE1 know were I can buy theese? Perhapse over the net? I tried the 2nd hand book store but the only Indy book they had was The Sky Pirates (in my opinion the absolute WORST Indy book EVER! I mean, I'd rather be gagged w/ a Webley holster than read THAT book again!!). Also, I recently got the Indiana Jones Choose your Own Adventures. Very good but VERY skinny! LOL! P/W/B/ASAP!

"Whats that? They don't have the Temple of Doom in print anymore?!"

Indy Anna, you might want to scour the local 2nd hand book exchanges for them. When Adam was holding his trivia contest I looked high and low for the novelizations of the movies, and at our local book exchange I was able to find (pretty worn) copies of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. (When the one that I really needed for the contest was Last Crusade - aaarrrgh!!!) Failing this, I've looked at www.amazon.com, and they can get you Raiders pretty promptly. TOD is "hard to find" which means they'll try to track it down for you, and when they do find it, they'll charge you an arm and a leg.

Oh, and about my homepage, I'm still putting together the "Rik Duel" page. (Rik is a character from the 80s Marvel Star Wars comics, a Corellian Smuggler like Han Solo, but in the ways that Solo is a hero with a heart of gold, Duel is a skulker and coward. Great character though.)

Hi, Rik!
Actaully, I've read all the SW books in print, and I know who Rik is. LOL! In the novels, he is a regular at the Smuggler's Asteroid (tyats not its name- its something like Track 14 or something...?) and hangs w/ Snewy ANNA Blue (hey, just like me! LOL) and a Wookiee and others. LOL! Great charicter! Have U read the novels? They're great! LOL! C U 'round!

I wasn't aware that Rik appeared in any Novels. Wow- that's pretty interesting... In the comics he hung out with a Rodian named Chihdo, and a Zeltron named Dani. Dani was scarlet-skinned and a raging nymphomaniac, who had the hots for Luke in the biggest way, to the extent that she stowed aboard the Falcon to travel with him for awhile. I'm trying to get a hold of a scanner so I can scan some of the comic panels for my page.

but hey.. this is the Indiana Jones board, and I'm getting kind of off-track...

Oh, by the way, I know you've got a pretty good collection of TOD jpegs and gifs... You don't have or know of any which have a good head shot of Mola Ram, Chattar Lal, or the Maharajah, by any chance do you? I'm looking for these guys to add to the IJ 'Dramatis Personae' on my page..

Later,
Rik Duel

Try more used bookstores in your area. I found my copies of the ROTLA and TOD novelizations, as well as the TOD junior novelization, and both storybooks, at various used bookstores, and all very cheaply. (Both novelizations just cost me $1 each.) I'm not sure how many used bookstores you have in your area, but if you look hard enough, these books should be easy enough to find. I've seen them both several times since I found my copies. Also, look in hardcover books, too. There was a book club version of ROTLA published as well, in hard cover. (It's worth absolutely nothing to collectors, but a good reading copy!) If you happen to live in the New York/New England area, I can give you some good leads. Good luck!
Brisco
