I just got back from seeing CONTACT again (great movie) at the Beverly Center (if you don't know LA, then you might know it as the mall that was destroyed at the end of VOLCANO), and who did I meet but John Rhys-Davies in front of the theater!
It was about 8:00 PM (PST) and he stood outside the theater, reading the entertainment newspaper. He was there with a really gorgeous woman -- I honestly can't tell if it's his daughter or wife. Anyway, I briefly introduced myself and he was quite friendly in return. (He's quite a large, burly man...and he actually sported a small ponytail in the back. And dapperly dressed in a black shirt and jacket and khakkis.)
Sorry to say that I don't have any proof for you all...yeah, how typical.
Anyway, that's my tidbit for tonight...ahh...all I have to do now is meet Harrison Ford, and then my "Indy" life will be complete.
P.S.: When I introduced myself, I pronounced his name as "Reese-Davies"...can you tell me if this is the right way to say it, or did I make (even more) a fool of myself?
