: : : : Okay, what do you guys think the title (if it's real) refers to? I'm guessing it's Atlantis (I hope not - I liked the computer game too much!), some sort of 'Inner Earth' thing, or maybe some ancient Biblical reference. What are your ideas? By the way, if that title's real, I think it's cool how they went back to Raiders, considering this is probably the last movie in the series.
: : : It could be Biblical, as two of the films have been...but as far as "fallen Empires" go, it could be Greek or Roman for that matter. There have been some great fallen empires in history, Alexander the Great, for instance. Who knows...most likely the title is bullshit anyway. Who knows where these rumors come from.
: : This "Moriarty" or whoever is just messin' with us. Think about it: "Raiders"--as in, "of the Lost Ark." Then "Fallen Empire" obviously refers to Star Wars. It's a LucasFilm joke, guys!

: I suppose so. It is a pretty original joke though! Who would have thought to use 'Raiders' in the title again?

I always wanted them to go back to the "Raiders" in the title. I actually wrote a story when I was in 7th or 8th grade called "Raiders of the Forbidden City" (or was it ccastle? I don't remember). It was an Indy story that ended up being about 30 pages long. I am now writing a new story (novel) about Indy's further adventures, and I wanted to use Raiders in the title but just couldn't come up with anything catchy enough. I'm not sure if I like the title "Raiders of the Fallen Empire" or not. It sort of seems contrived. But maybe a break from the "Indiana Jones and the..." scheme is due.
