Maybe some people will like this version better:
: Yeah, that's too bad - give it another shot when it comes out on video though (if ever). It DOES take about that long to get a feel for what Lucas was trying to accomplish with that series - honestly apart from the name and essential naive version of the character, it didn't really have much to do with the movies. I didnt like the first half of the premier - real snoozer, but it really picked up when they did the Mexican revolution thing. London I liked, but at that point I still wasn't buying into the casting of Sean PAtrick Flanery. All I could think was, "What DOES he have in common with Harry Ford?". The third episode in Africa with that kid was appalling, and really what sanked the series! NOT ABC's scheduling (not that they helped, either).
: The series did pick up steam eventually, and started getting really good (try looking out for all the war episodes, especially the later ones, and the espionage ones are cool).
: The most Indy-like was "Treasure of the Peacock's Eye". But it ran on cable only so not many saw it. It was super good though - but some of my freinds didn't like the ending too much.
: Anyway - I do have all episodes on tape - not the best copies though (I had to scavenge sometimes for tapes and some of them were really old. Do you know if I can transfer them onto something more reliable without losing picture quality?. All I'm missig are the four European episodes and the two unveiled (presumably for the video sets) bookends with both Corey Carrier and Sean Patrick Flanery. Maybe this is something you are interested in having copies of and we can start trading later (soon as I get my e-mail fixed - talked too many but no one knows what's wrong with it! haha - typical huh?)
: Have a good night guy!
