The only thing it can come down to is to tbuy the novels yourself, give them a read, and keep an open critical mind when reading them. I think the controversy extends from the lines of dialogue that we can't imagine HFord delivering in a movie. There is no merit to some people's claim that there is no archeology in SKY PIRATES (a good critic would have also remembered the title). It's there, it's just not prominent to the real dilemna at hand.

Caidin was a fine writer, I wish he could have written at least two more for Indiana Jones.
