: : I just picked up the two novels by Caiden. I heard that they were really awful. Yet some people actually enjoyed this literature. What are your reasons for liking/disliking his novels? Please, post your thoughts on these books and remember, NO SPOILERS!
: The only thing it can come down to is to tbuy the novels yourself, give them a read, and keep an open critical mind when reading them. I think the controversy extends from the lines of dialogue that we can't imagine HFord delivering in a movie. There is no merit to some people's claim that there is no archeology in SKY PIRATES (a good critic would have also remembered the title). It's there, it's just not prominent to the real dilemna at hand.
: Caidin was a fine writer, I wish he could have written at least two more for Indiana Jones.

Sorry this upsets you so much but how about we agree to disagree? The fact that "some" people's interpretation of the book varies from yours doesn't make their opinion wrong and yours right. If you like Caidin's work then all the best to you. I don't claim to be a good critic but after Sky Pirates I am going to have some reservations going into White Witch. The concensus at least is that this is better than the first one.
Happy reading!
