ATTENTION: ARAGORN (or anyone else who would know)...

This isn't very Indy related, so I'll make it brief...

After months of searching all around my house, I finally found my Tolkein collection of books (The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King, and The Silmarillion). I've never gotten the chance to read The Silmarillion, although I've read (but forgotten much of) the other books.

I'm planning to read all of them, one right after the other. In which order should I read them? In other words, should I read The Silmarillion (which takes place way before the others, but which was published way after) first or last? :)

It's like asking if I should watch the Indy movies in the order that they came out (Raiders, ToD, and The Last Crusade), or in the order that the whole story takes place (ToD, Raiders and The Last Crusade).
