: : Anybody ever notice that it takes for-damn-ever to distress a Wested jacket naturally? I've had my "new finish" Raiders jacket since June, and I been wearin' it day and night, rain or shine....and the thing still looks brand-spankin' new. There's a few teeny tiny spots where it's scuffing and wearing in, but damn, I'll be 110 years old before it finally looks like Indy's.

: If you want to age it prematurely, rub some 500 grit sandpaper over the seams.

Sandpaper (no matter how fine) and Wested mentioned in the same sentence just makes my skin crawl! I couldn't bring myself to do it. I put a post in about using an unused cellulose kitchen sponge to lightly "weather" the seams and other high points. It worked like a charm on my Cooper, and didn't actually remove any of the leather itself.
Give it a try before you do something to your jacket you cannot undo.
