Fate of Atlantis-HELP!

Help! I'm stuck!

I'm playing the Fate of Atlantis PC game,and I've reached the caves in Fists mode. Trouble is I can't find the third stone. In all the hints pages on the net, they say Sternhart has the stone on his dead body. But in mine, when I go down the lift to where he is, it says that one of the stones has been crushed under the lift. Is this the third stone i'm looking for? I can't have broken my only way of progressing, can I? I didn't think you could do that. Can anyone help me!
