This is wierd. I've always been amazed that his hat stayed on all the time too... even when he'd get slugged by a Nazi.

P.S. Indy doesn't wear his jacket after he gets on the sub in Raiders. He gets to the island, steals a Nazi uniform, withstands the Ark opening, and is back in his blue suit at the museum.
