Ą a bag with trail mix and/or Pemmican Beef Jerky
Ą waterproof matches
Ą metal tin with candles
Ą folding knife
Ą compass
Ą a map
Ą a rope (multi-purpose)
Ą fishooks and fishing line
Ą handkerchief (could be a lifesaver in a sandstorm)
Ą First Aid Kit
Ą snake repellent

Other Important Items:

Ą passport, visa
Ą local currency/something to barter with
Ą red and green notebook with pencil
Ą glasses and case
Ą a towel (multi-purpose)
Ą soap
Ą a toothbrush
Ą a brush
Ą safety pins
Ą condoms
Ą spare bootlaces
Ą a little bag with talcum powder (multi-purpose)
Ą a small drawstring bag

Miscellaneous Items:

Ą spare gun and ammo
Ą flaslight and batteries
Ą binoculars
Ą spare whip repair parts
Ą a bottle of good Italian wine
Ą a bottle of brandy ("medicinal")
Ą black necktie

That's a total of 32 items. That little bag IS amazing...
PS I think the gloves are kept in the jacket pockets.
