Excellent ones all, and save a lot of guesswork.

Strangely I find myself attracted to the paint idea as my first thought was watered down india ink (it browns somewhat).

I'm feeling dangerous so I'm gonna try that first -- let ya all know how it goes. (If it blows up, I'll procede to the sensible suggestions... :-))
