He gives an excellent review of "Saving Private Ryan" and is also one of the few people not bowing down to Leonardo DiCaprio's amazingly over-hyped "Titanic". He mentions that the brutal, unsettling violence of "Ryan" attempts to throw us into the middle of the battles of WWII, and the writing, acting, and directing are nothing less than exceptional. Did anyone happen to catch the letters where the leading experts on the Titanic or perhaps some survivors professed that the film version of the ship was 100% accurate and how the film portrayed a vivid description of an actual voyage on the Titanic? I didn't read any of those letters. Oh wait, maybe because there wasn't a single one. "Saving Private Ryan" on the other hand produced thousands of war veterans' letters of gratitude and praise. As for Cari, get your act together and in a few years, like someone already suggested, watch the film again and give us another review. Lewis, great work all the way.
