sun, heat and hats

Now that we are all entering the warmer months of the year, I am
a little worried about what it will do to our trusty (and sometimes
expensive)fedoras. I wore my fed yesterday and was sweating
like a leaky faucet. Also the hot sun was on it all day. Will the hot
sun affect color, shrinkage, etc.? Anyone know?
