I went and watched the first Mummy film, and while I did enjoy it, I found myself constantly comparing it to the Indy films, and of course, it came up really short. In the end, this comparison, kinda ruined the whole experience for me. I am afraid the same will happen this time, but with all the Indy references that I have heard about, it is a "must see" now. I can honestly say, that the Indiana Jones adventures have set a standard that is difficult to recreate in the new adventure films. Probably just me. Regards, Fedora
