The mannequin is actually a flesh-color, thick paper meche' with a grassy texture. I think the felt idea is a wonderful idea. If you're going to disply the outfit, I highly recommend the Smithsonian look all the way! Concerning seeing my gear, I made myself a promise that I wouldn't post any pics of my gear until the whole thing is finished, which should be late September. You've got to see the whole package to really appreciate it.
