I stayed to see if Heston had played the father since it sounded like him and he had the great "Damn them" speech. I just saw the movie today and in my opinion, it was pure and total garbage. There was really nothing I liked about it at all. The original was so much better and was more entertaining than this remodeled, suped-up piece of crap. The only remodeled part of the film that looked good was Estella Warren and the apes looked pretty damn freaky. Otherwise, I wanted my money back.
