: This was the first lesson I learned when I moved to Florida. I worked with the Highway patrol, and the first thing I was advised was to throw away any containers of mink oil I had, as it attracted all manners of bugs that loved to eat the mink oil marinated leather. Stay north of the Mason/Dixon line. You'll be fine in cooler climates. Regards. Michaelson
I've spent some time in Chicago in the summer. Nasty hot and humid... Maybe if you store it in a freezer during the summer and only bring it out when the highs drop below 60?
